First Red Hat Outing

Yesterday was my first outing with the ladies of The Red Hat Society. I found this almost new, red hat and purple blouse at our wonderful thrift store. As I visit the malls I will be on the lookout for more new hats and purple outfits.

We enjoyed lunch at China City.

My new friend, Sylvia.
As we got to know each other, we discovered we live about a quarter of a mile from each other. The picture is a little out of focus. The lady who was taking the picture moved the camera as she took the picture.

Goodness, there were many styles of hats, and several of the ladies have added ribbons, flowers and other decorations. What a fun bunch of women. I am looking forward to getting to know them all.

I have thought about joining myself. Sounds like fun.

I wish there was one here, would I be in the right age range at 46?

I love being a red hatter. Although I am one of the youngest in my chapter, I enjoy the diversity of all the ladies. I love my husband but he doesn't enjoy dressing up, lunching, going to teas, etc. Have a great time with it...
P.S. I left Coupeville in 1968. Class of 1969.
