Today we will head up island to do some shopping, and afterwards enjoy dinner and conversation with some friends at a nice restaurant, before returning home. Rocket says shopping is a good thing, as he is down to almost the last few bites of his special cat food, which we can't buy here on the south end of the island.
The outdoor thermometer says it is 40 degrees and the snow is melting at a very fast rate. Our road out to the main one is still icy, but I am sure the main road up and down the island is probably bare and wet.
You all have a great day.

So glad to hear you now have a generator. Having no power and no warmth is not fun.
What with a generator and shop heater just don't cark it on us of carbon monoxide poisoning ;)...regards from a cold wet spring in NZ.
edt, the generator is run outside we have not had to use it since we bought it. It will be outside the garage downstairs, and the propane heater is designed to run indoors. So no worries.
My brother who lives in palmerston North, was also bemoaning the fact that it is a cold wet spring.
