WITH A FIVE YEAR OLD, WHAT YOU SEE, IS WHAT YOU GET

Jake is 5 and learning to read. He points at a picture in a zoo book
and says, 'Look Mama! It's a frickin' Elephant!'

Deep breath ... 'What did you call it?'

'It's a frickin' Elephant, Mama! It says so on the picture!'

And so it does.

'A f r i c a n Elephant '

Hooked on phonics! Ain't it wonderful?

Kids will say the cutest things, when girl-child was only a small button, she couldn't say motorbike, so she called it a murderbike.
But the cutest of 'em all was when she saw a grasshopper, that she called a hoppy jumpy.
There's nothing like a child to make us laugh, and remember the sweet things that comes from their lips.
