RECIPE: Easy Cheesy Meat Loaf

Haggis and tax laws are both the result of bloody processes; the end result is a mystery and you wouldn't want to watch either being made.

Substitution for Haggis:

Easy Cheesy Meat Loaf

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

2 eggs, beaten

2 cups fresh bread –crumbs

ground black pepper to taste

1 cup tomato juice

6 slices Singles process cheese, divided

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl combine the beef, soup mix, eggs, bread- crumbs, pepper and tomato juice. Mix well and spread half of mixture into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

3. Cut 4 slices of the cheese into strips; arrange on meat

4. Top with remaining half of meat loaf mixture. Press edges together.

5. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes.

6. When baked top with remaining cheese slices

7. Let cool 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
